The Olympic Team traveled to Beijing to participate in the August 8 - 24 Olympics. The team consisted of our best talent, Jeremy Knowles, Alana Dillette, Vereance Burrows and Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace.
All swimmers turned their personal best during this olympics a major accomplishment for all swimmers.
Jeremy Knowles competed in the 200 Fly,
200 IM and the
100 Fly.
Alana Dillette competed in the 100 Backstroke.
Vereance Burrows competed in the 50 Freestyle.
Arianna competed in the 50 Freestyle and the
100 Freestyle

The number of registered clubs in the Bahamas is currently 12 swim clubs, Currently, there are 7 clubs located in the capital of Nassau on the Island of New Providence (Barracuda Swim Club, Dolphin Swim Club, Flamingo Swim Club, Manataray Swim Club, Orca Swim Club, Sea Bees Swim Club, Swift Swimming and Sea Waves Aquatics Team) and 3 clubs in Freeport on the Island of Grand Bahama (Freeport Aquatics Club; Blue Marlin Aquatics, Lucaya Lightning). Abaco Swim Clubs, located in the Marsh Harbour and Hope Town.
